Faith in Action Suggestion for the Month of April
We are called to pray, AND we are called to put our faith into action. We are called to follow Jesus which means we need to love and serve our neighbors in the name of Christ. It’s also our job to stand up to injustice and respect the dignity of every human being.
This month we suggest exploring the Enews ORANGE Edition. Select something you can do, and do it. You can also find a lot of other great ideas at the Episcopal Public Policy Network's website. You can find them by clicking the link below.

This Month's Outreach Project - March
OUTREACH PROJECT – Reach for Basic Needs
This month, St. Paul's is collecting socks for adults and eyeglasses, too. Bring in your old, unwanted glasses and/or new reading glasses you can purchase at most stores. We will offer them to those in need and help bring the dignity of sight and clean socks to our neighbors. REACH bags are available for your convenience. Thank you for your support!
Year of Prayer to End Racism
The Diocese of West Virginia has released an inspiring and motivating series of prayers to be used throughout the year as we work and pray for an end to racism. I encourage you to use these prayers in your personal prayer life, and I encourage us to make the commitment to become more and more, day by day the people God is calling us to be.
APRIL-- For the heroes and heroines of the struggle for civil rights (thanks and
future encouragement) (April, death of Martin Luther King, Jr)
“O bountiful and merciful God: you have blessed your people with great prophets and
leaders to advance the cause of equality under law in this nation and in the world. By
their teaching and preaching; by their action and example; by their marching,
demonstrating, and sitting in; by their organizing, praying and singing, they have made
themselves and the dream of non-discrimination impossible for opponents to ignore and
possible for those marginalized to dream. Give us such leaders always, Lord. Let the cry
for justice always be heard in our land until, by your gracious will, your children live
together in freedom, justice, and equality. Amen.
