Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost, Proper 15A, Track 2
While teaching his disciples about the importance of keeping themselves clean and acceptable to the Lord, he says, “Listen and understand: it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but it is what comes out of the mouth that defiles.” Because what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, it shows our true nature. After this Jesus went away to the district of Tyre and Sidon where a Canaanite women challenged him and asked him to heal her daughter. Come hear him say, “Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed instantly. Come learn about these important stories of our faith. Come hear amazingly beautiful music, inspiring scripture, and an uplifting message of hope and love. Come to church and get inspired!
This week's scripture lessons:
Isaiah 56:1,6-8
Psalm 67
Romans 11:1-2a, 29-32
